Breast Massage Intensive (24 CE Hours)

If you want to get the most out of your breast massage training, consider taking BOTH of my current breast massage classes back-to-back for a total of 24 CEs. Registering for both at once will give you a $40 discount over taking them separately.

Class Description

See descriptions of Incorporating the Breasts and Chest (16 CEs) and Next Step Breast Massage: Lightening the Ribcage and Freeing the Shoulders (8 CEs) for a description of this intensive. Upon completion, you will receive 2 separate certificates, as this is two classes put together. NCBTMB credit is not yet available for the final 8 hours (Next Step Breast Massage: Lightening the Ribcage and Freeing the Shoulders).

Classroom Policies
In order to receive their Course Completion Certificate, each Attendee agrees to the policies for this course. Any Attendee who does not adhere to the course rules will be immediately asked to leave the course and will receive neither course credit nor tuition refund.

By registering, each Attendee agrees to the following policies:
  • Attendee must be a licensed massage therapist in any US State with an official massage licensing board, or a healthcare professional with breast massage in their scope of practice. If a massage therapist practices in a state without massage licensing, permission from the instructor is required.
  • Attendee must be present for all class hours, including all lecture and technique demonstrations.
  • Attendee understands that full chest and breast areas on LMT students of all genders will be treated in this class, and that the full chest and breast will be undraped for much of the treatment. Attendee understands that the nipples and areolas will be touched during some of the treatment sequences as a general part of the breast.Attendee agrees to adhere to professional standards and ethics both during the course, as well as when working with the public in a clinical/office setting.
  • ALL FEMALE CLASSES: Attendee is expected to both give and receive all techniques with female students and to give techniques to male models provided in the class.
  • COED CLASSES: Attendee is expected to both give and receive all techniques with participating LMTs of all genders.
FAQs
What should I bring?
Please bring 2 sets of sheets, one set for each day, a 100% cotton hand towel, and a pillowcase or face cradle cover (one for each day). Good quality massage cream, etc., will be provided.
Where will the class meet?
In my home studio. The address is 2304 H Street Bellingham, and there is ample free street parking.
What about food for breaks and lunch?
My home studio is located near downtown Bellingham. Many restaurants are nearby, or you may bring food and keep it in the fridge/kitchen and eat it here. The Meridian Street Haggen is only a few blocks away, and has both a wonderful deli and a Starbucks. Food can also easily be delivered.
Where can I stay if I am traveling from out of town?
There are several wonderful hotels in Bellingham. I like the Four Points by Sheraton, just off the I-5 on Lakeway Drive; it has a nice restaurant and is very close to the classroom location, and to both downtown Bellingham and Fairhaven.

I may be able to host one to three people in my home. A queen bed private room for $120 for both nights; $50 for both nights for my wonderful soft sofa; and $80 for both nights for our twin office room. A bathroom will be available for each, and you may launder your sheets here if you wish

Will there be male students in the class?
Possibly. Male LMTs are welcome to sign up, as they require the same classwork to be able to legally perform massage on the undraped breast and chest area of both male and female clients. This does not mean I can predict how many or if any male LMTs will sign up for the class. However, we hope they will, as part of the goal of this work is to normalize work in this area of the body as neutral and healing to clients of both genders.
Do I need to have had a COVID vaccination?
No. I am no longer requiring proof of COVID vaccine or vaccine exemption to take this class.
Will we need to wear masks?
No, unless things change in the next several months. I will provide an extra box of paper masks if needed.
Will any other special precautions be taken?
Not that I know of at this time, other than normal sanitary procedures.
Note: Normally, I don’t think it necessary to share a lot of personal information, but the recent pandemic sometimes requires more transparency in order to make visitors feel safe. This class is obviously in my home/home studio, and I want to stress that only two people live in my home: myself and my 10-year-old daughter. We are both vaccinated against COVID. Furthermore, except for the first 3 weeks of COVID in March/April 2020, I have continued to practice, without, I feel blessed to say, ever having had COVID or having to shut down or quarantine due to COVID exposure from a client or other.
How much does it cost?
The cost of this two-day class is $340 if purchased during the "early bird" period, and $365 thereafter. Payment is due in full upon registration. Refund requests will be 100% up until 2 weeks before class start. Refund requests after that date will be minus a $50 administration fee.
